CALIFORNIA GOLDEN GLOVES
California Delegate in Charge Fausto De La Torre has been running the City of Pasadena Youth Boxing Program for over 25 years. He is now in charge of the California Golden Gloves, overseeing the organization and managing events for the entire state. Fausto works closely with the California Golden Gloves Board of Directors that include top officials, successful gym owners and coaches from all over the state.
California Golden Gloves was established in the late 1930's after the original Chicago Tribune Golden Gloves exploded in popularity. Giving young boxers the opportunity to make a name for themselves and gain experience against the best boxers around the country. The National Golden Gloves Championship is the goal of every competitor. Each state puts together it's best organizers, coaches and officials to then have the best boxers compete for the top spot on the state team.
